Zero-Point Positioning System

Zero-Point Positioning System

A Zero-Point Positioning System That Just Locates

A zero point positioning system lets one pallet, sub-plate or vise drop onto a receiver and locate to repeatable datums in a single motion — no indicating, no shimming. JIYAN builds the clamps, plates and towers that make that happen, so a part staged off the machine swaps onto the mill, 5-axis or tombstone in seconds. Every receiver is machined, heat-treated, ground and CMM-inspected in-house.

How to choose

Pick the right zero-point system

By station count

Single and 2-station receivers suit one-off and paired parts. 4-station cubes multiply parts per setup for high-volume and lights-out work.

By shape

Long and twin-base receivers hold extended or paired workpieces. Round receivers drop onto rotary and 4th-axis jobs without re-indicating.

By density

Stack receivers on a zero-point tower or tombstone to run many parts per cycle — ideal when machine spindle time is your constraint.

FAQ

Zero-point positioning questions

What is a zero point positioning system?

A zero point positioning system is a set of receivers and matching pallets (or sub-plates, vises, towers) that all locate to the same datums. You machine a part, remove the pallet, and any other machine fitted with the same receiver picks it up at the identical position — no re-indicating, no loss of accuracy between setups.

How repeatable is zero-point location?

JIYAN zero-point receivers locate within a few microns, so a part staged off the machine returns to the same position on the mill, 5-axis or tombstone. That repeatability is what lets you spread work across machines and shifts without re-qualifying.

Can a zero-point system be used for 5-axis machining?

Yes. Low-profile and long/round receivers sit clear of the toolpath, letting you reach four or five faces in one setup. The pallet swaps between machines without re-indicating.

How do zero-point towers help high-volume work?

A zero-point tower (tombstone) carries several receivers at once, so you run many parts per cycle. Stage and inspect off the machine while the spindle keeps cutting — the classic lights-out gain.

How fast can I get a quote for a zero-point system?
